I’m a yoga teacher passionate about making yoga accessible and supportive for everybody
Creating space for people to move, rest, and reconnect with themselves.
I first came to yoga through a love of movement. For years, asana was simply another form of exercise for me, something I practised on and off to support my running.
About five years ago, burnout stopped me in my tracks. A demanding work environment and a nervous system that didn’t know how to switch off led to a complete crash. From that place, I knew something had to change. After a life-changing Reiki session, I began meditating and slowly discovered stillness. Yoga shifted from something I did to something I lived; it became a way to regulate my nervous system and reconnect with my true self.
Through ongoing spiritual enquiry and Embodied Yoga Teacher Training, what began as personal curiosity became a profound journey of learning and growth. It led to a realisation that I wanted to share the tools of yoga with others.
I am deeply passionate about meditation, Yoga Nidra, and pranayama (breathing techniques), and their ability to bring me back into my body, keep me grounded, and support me to have a more regulated nervous system.
I also hold a deep appreciation for the physical practice of asana, integrating embodied and somatic awareness into my movement as a way to reconnect with my body, so that I can move with ease, maintain vitality, and age well. Something I am deeply passionate about.
As an avid runner, I still value strength, resilience, and discipline. However, I also believe deeply in the importance of balance through practices that allow for rest, restoration, and regulation.
Through my teaching, I hope to offer a space where people can discover what I have learned through my own yoga practice: how to find balance through strength and restoration, reconnect with themselves in a supportive and compassionate way, and cultivate greater awareness, resilience, and self-regulation.
My Story
With a background in social care, I am deeply committed to creating spaces where everybody feels welcome, regardless of yoga experience, background, or life stage.
My teaching is rooted in accessibility, inclusivity, and evidence-informed practice, integrating programmes such as Yoga4Health, which supports people to enhance their well-being through accessible practices, and Yoga for Menopause, which helps women navigate hormonal changes through education, movement, breathwork, and restorative practices.
I also incorporate Embodied and Somatic approaches, using mindful, sensation-led movement to help people tune into their bodies, regulate their nervous system, and move with curiosity and ease.
Supporting people to move well and age well is at the heart of my teaching, and I am passionate about guiding others to care for their bodies through midlife and beyond. Offering accessible, adaptable yoga, including Chair Yoga, so everyone can find movement that works for them
Whether through research-based practices, embodied and somatic movement, breathwork, meditation, or restorative practices that allow deep rest, my intention is the same:
To help people develop greater awareness, strengthen their connection to themselves and the world around them, gain self-regulation tools to manage everyday stressors, and cultivate more autonomy and agency over their own health and well-being
