Foundations of Yoga

In my classes, you can expect a mindful, inclusive approach that supports people at every stage of their yoga journey:

Foundations of Yoga – It’s about reinforcing the essentials so they can be accessed in everyday life, offering real, effective tools to support your well-being. Perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to reconnect with their practice.

These classes focus on the core principles of yoga, beginning with a gentle centring practice to connect with your body, breath, and mind, helping you feel grounded and present.

We start with slow, mindful movements to tune into the body, then move into a gentle, flowing yoga practice that supports how your body moves naturally, and finish with a guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra), allowing the body and mind to rest and integrate.

Rest & Restore

Rest & Restore is an invitation to step out of the pace of everyday life and into a space of deep nourishment and stillness.

This offering weaves together the gentle practices of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra, allowing the body and mind a chance to soften and be restored.

In Restorative Yoga, the body is completely supported by blankets, bolsters, and props, allowing you to soften, let go, and gently melt into rest. With nothing to strive for and nowhere to go, the nervous system begins to settle, and layers of tension and fatigue can slowly unwind.

The practice then moves into Yoga Nidra, often described as yogic sleep. As you lie comfortably supported, you are gently guided through a deeply restful meditation that allows the body to restore and the mind to settle into a quiet, spacious awareness.

These evenings are especially nourishing during the darker seasons, when our energy can feel lower, and the body naturally longs for more stillness. They offer a gentle remedy for exhaustion — a chance to pause, breathe, and return home to yourself.

Yoga for Midlife & Beyond

Yoga for Menopause: Supporting the Changing Body

Menopause is a significant transition in a woman’s life, a time of change that can affect the body, emotions, energy levels, and nervous system. This offering provides a supportive space for women to come together and explore practices that nurture the body and mind. Through gentle, mindful movement, breath awareness, and restorative practices, we will create space to reconnect with the body and honour the wisdom of this stage of life, rather than resisting it.

The practices are designed to meet women where they are, acknowledging that our needs shift and change during menopause and beyond.

Whether you are approaching menopause, moving through it, or living in the years beyond, you are warmly welcome. No previous yoga experience is needed.

Chair Yoga: Gentle Movement with Support

Chair Yoga is an invitation to move gently and reconnect with your body, all from the comfort and support of a chair. This practice meets you exactly where you are, supporting stability, balance, and strength as we age.

Through mindful movements, breath awareness, and relaxation practices, Chair Yoga nurtures mobility, eases tension, and promotes overall well-being.

It is especially supportive for active aging, helping to maintain coordination, balance, and long-term health. Suitable for everyone, including those new to yoga or with limited mobility. The practice emphasizes safe movement to support the body today and in the years ahead.
